The story behind Carbservice

Founder Cyriel Gaemers grew up in Baarn and, as a boy, stood beside his father at the book markets on the Spui in Amsterdam and the Plein in The Hague. There he learned the art of customer contact, sales and entrepreneurship from an early age. Exactly the customer-focused approach that defines the company today.

After a ten-year career in national radio and television sales, with cold acquisition as his speciality, Cyriel chose entrepreneurship in 2022. With his passion for classics and engineering he founded Carbservice.nl, which took official shape in 2023. That love began at eighteen, with his first Jaguar XJ6. Since then he has bought, sold and restored countless classics.

At Carburateur Service Nederland everything revolves around overhauling and restoring carburettors for cars and motorcycles. Our goal is clear: preserving classic vehicles and extending their life. Craftsmanship, an eye for detail and a love of engineering are at the heart of everything we do.

Cyriel Gaemers

Founder

Founder and driving force behind Carbservice. His love of classics began with his first Jaguar XJ6 at eighteen. Today he combines entrepreneurship with craftsmanship at the workbench.

Lukas

Overhaul specialist & workshop lead

Lukas started as our very first employee and grew into the workshop lead on Tuesdays and Saturdays. He studies architectural engineering in Amsterdam and has a sharp eye for detail. At the workbench he turns his hand to anything, and his drive is infectious to the rest of the team.

Pieter

Overhaul specialist (weekends)

Pieter strengthens the team at weekends and brings years of motorsport experience with him. From the circuits of Zandvoort and the Nürburgring to the workbench: precision and a deep love of engineering are second nature to him. With Pieter on board, craftsmanship is guaranteed.

Ids

Overhaul specialist

Ids pitches in at the workshop with great enthusiasm and is learning the trade from the inside out. He studies Built Environment in Groningen and loves working on his own motocross bike in his spare time. His hands-on mentality makes him a valuable part of the team every time he is in.

Luuk

Overhaul specialist

Jarno

Overhaul specialist

Jarno studies at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences and has a real passion for working on engines. He is currently learning the trade with us, so we can keep carrying out every overhaul in-house.

Olivier Sprenkeler

Videographer & social media

Olivier is our regular videographer and the eye behind the images on our socials. With a creative view he captures the work at the workbench in a way that truly resonates and keeps on surprising us.

Milou Dankers

Strategist & partner

Milou is the force behind the scenes. She keeps the business processes and the finances in good order, so the team can focus fully on the craft. Entrepreneurial, strategic and involved in everything that makes Carbservice stronger.
