What's the problem with water in the tank?
A common issue with boat carburettors is water in the fuel tank caused by condensation, which speeds up the oxidation process. The damp marine environment leads to water building up in the tank, especially when the boat sits unused for a while.
Water in the tank accelerates oxidation inside the carburettor and can lead to corrosion and blockages. That in turn causes engine trouble, poor performance and even coming to a standstill out on the water, something you'd rather avoid on your summer trips.
