Compatibility

This Stromberg CD150 (tag 3743) was originally installed on Hillman / Chrysler Avenger 1600 (1598 cc) engines but can also be used — with minor jetting or linkage adjustments — on a wide variety of classic vehicles, such as:

• Triumph Herald 13/60 and Spitfire Mk3–MkIV

• MG Midget 1500 and Austin Sprite 1500

• Sunbeam Alpine 1500 / Rapier 1600

• Volvo B18A / B20A (adapter required)

• Ford Cortina Mk2 1300–1600 (adapter conversion)

• Kit cars and British specials (1.3–1.8 L engines)

Additional Notes

Each Stromberg carburetor in our collection is inspected for throttle-shaft play, diaphragm integrity, and correct vacuum-piston movement.
Rebuild kits, jets, diaphragms, and linkage parts for this model are available separately in our webshop.
For best performance, we recommend ultrasonic cleaning and precise re-assembly using fresh seals, float valves, and calibrated needles.
